Drenovo neighbourhood is located along the road between Ljubljana and Vrhnika, on Drenov Grič, where the city turns into its natural hinterland. It lies on the slopes of a flat regional park and not far from the hilly Polhov Gradec Dolomites.
Vrhnika is only a few minutes away, which enables quick access to key infrastructure and public institutions. It is only eight kilometres from the Ljubljana ring road, twenty minutes from the centre of Ljubljana and twenty minutes from the nearest shopping centre.
With quick access to the highway, Drenovo is also well connected to all strategic roads. It is an excellent starting point for trips in all directions of Slovenia. From the neighbourhood, you can simply walk to a nearby shop, restaurant and sports club, and the youngest to the primary school.
Go for a walk, run or bike ride along the many trails in the immediate vicinity of the neighbourhood. As well, you can join one of the organized sports and recreational activities of the sports association Športno društvo Dren within which also a football school for children operates successfully.
You can explore the nature park on your own or take part in one of the many events organized for visitors. The park area is the largest area of wet grasslands, forests, shrubs and water surfaces in Slovenia. There are also two groups of prehistoric mounds entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The landscape park is an area of numerous natural and cultural attractions and as such, it is ideal for wandering and exploring.
